Meet Our Performing Arts Specialists
Dr. Ann-Merrie Leung, BMus, DC
Dr. AM achieved a Bachelor of Music in Trombone Performance studying at the University of Toronto and McGill University. While finishing her studies, she started performing professionally as a freelance musician around the GTA. She has won numerous solo competitions including the Great Canadian Brass Band Festival, Ontario Music Festival Association, Toronto Kiwanis Music Festival and performed as a soloist with the Hannaford Street Silver Band, University of Toronto Wind Symphony, and Hannaford Youth Band.
As a chiropractor, she is passionate about applying her experience as a professional musician, music educator, and healthcare professional to help performing artists and students reduce pain, prevent injury, and improve their performance. She has completed additional certifications with the Performing Arts Medicine Association and American College of Sports Medicine to further enhance her knowledge and experience in this area.
In addition to playing the trombone, she also plays the piano, guitar, violin, trumpet, euphonium, French horn, drums, cello, double bass, flute, and erhu.

Your initial assessment will include a comprehensive health and musical history, biomechanical, orthopaedic and postural assessment, after which a diagnosis and plan of management will be shared with you.
PLEASE BRING YOUR INSTRUMENT TO YOUR FIRST VISIT, so we can properly assess your posture both with and without your instrument.
