Dr. AM’s special interests include treating athletes and musicians. She has helped patients from youth athletes to professional musicians recover quickly and maintain wellness so they can focus on performing rather than stress about their injuries. Once recovered, she creates sport and musician-specific exercise programs specialized to each individual’s needs to prevent recurrent injury and optimize performance.
Dr. AM also has an interest and specialized education in concussion management. Having sustained numerous concussions herself, she is passionate about helping patients return to sport, school, and work in a healthy, safe and efficient manner.

How it Started
I played competitive sports growing up: soccer, basketball and volleyball were essential in my daily life. With competitive sport came oh so many injuries from ankle sprains, to disc herniations, to shoulder instability and more concussions than anyone could keep track of. After consulting every healthcare practitioner imaginable, I found inspiration from chiropractic to not only help manage the injuries, but also find out why they were occurring and how to prevent them from happening again.
Having overcome these personal experiences, I am passionate about helping people prevent injuries and recover quickly and safely through manual therapy, education, and exercise.

Where it continued
I studied music performance at McGill University and the University of Toronto specializing in trombone performance. During my studies, I was passionate about encouraging and increasing participation in physical activity for both students and faculty to maintain health and wellness. I noticed the prevalence of injuries and pain amongst my peers and the stigma associated with these issues.
As I pursued further study as a chiropractor, my passion for applying my knowledge in sports medicine towards this specialized community of individuals led me to complete additional education with the Performing Arts Medicine Association.
